Our powerful web-based solution provides you with global, national and regional scale credit ratings on issuer and issue level. Search | History & Charts | Security Ratings (Issue Ratings) | Sector Ratings

Search

When searching for a Rated Entity, be sure that the RatingsDirect Search option is selected - this is the next to the search bar, where you have the ability to toggle between CIQ Search and RatingsDirect Search.

You'll also need to choose Entity from the drop down bar on the left hand side. Once you've done this start entering the name of the entity that you're searching for, and then select it from the drop down results as shown in the image below.

Once you've selected the entity, you'll be taken to the Entity Summary Page. The Credit Ratings widget is where you'll find all the information regarding the long-term (LT) and short-term (ST) issuer credit ratings.

History & Charts

As mentioned, we have 20+ years of ratings history, and if you want to take a look at the rating from a historical standpoint then you can click on the History & Charts option shown in the image below. Here you will find a timeline of the rating with the corresponding rating dates.

Security Ratings (Issue Ratings)

There are two primary ways to search for ratings for individual securities. First, you can search for ratings via identifiers such as the ISIN or CUSIP which can be utilised via the RatingsDirect Search bar. The next step would be to enter the ISIN and then hit search.

You’ll then be taken to the Entity Search Results page, where you can click on the issue name which redirects you to the Security Detail page. Here you’ll find extended details surrounding the issue such as the credit rating, maturity date, original principal amount, etc.

Alternatively, security ratings can be accessed on the Entity Summary Page of a rated entity, as illustrated above. Once on this page scroll down and you'll find the Securities widget where you'll find a list of all the rated securities issued by the relevant company, as shown below.

Clicking on any of the descriptions above will take you to the Security Detail page, which we've discussed.

Sector Ratings

You can also view issuer ratings across an entire sector, by utilising our vast array of sector pages that are available on the platform. These can be found under the RatingsDirect tab, as shown in the image below.

We're going to be using Health Care as an example, so from the options above you'd then select Industrials. It may be necessary to refine the industry, depending on what you're looking for, and this can be done by selecting 'Refine Industry' which is highlighted below.

Once you've done this, you'll come across the Ratings Summary widget, and it's here that you'll find a list of rated issuers who fall within your chosen sector/industry.
