S&P Cap IQ Pro Office is a Web services application, so it accesses data over an Internet connection rather than from a localized network database. Data updates on our web servers occur intraday and end-of-day, so that users always have access to the latest intelligence.

Excel Templates

The powerful Excel Add-In enables you to extract information directly from the S&P Cap IQ Pro database and export directly into Microsoft Excel. With one-click to refresh the data, you can spend less time building worksheets and more on analyzing the most current data.

The Template Library is regularly expanded, and it contains hundreds of template types ranging from the Market View report shown below to templates for mergers and acquisitions, company tearsheets, macroeconomic/demographic, ownership, portfolio and index, to industry-focused templates for bank branches and regulatory financials, insurance product filings, commodities, power plants, TV networks, and wireless just to name a few.

Office Tools

S&P Cap IQ Pro Office Tools is a suite of productivity tools in Excel, PowerPoint and Word that allow you to quickly build, format and audit models, and link the results of your models to PowerPoint or Word. It is complimentary with your S&P Cap IQ Pro subscription. 

With Office Tools, you can:
• Seamlessly integrate and update data from Excel to PowerPoint or Word with fewer errors
• Quickly audit and edit complex formulas with the Trace Precedents and Dependents tools
• Quickly format presentations with Presentation Tools



We’ll even link data from your Excel files to your presentations and documents for you - simply send us your PowerPoint template or Word files along with the accompanying financial model that contains the data you want linked, and let us take care of the rest.
