S&P Capital IQ® has made enhancements to the performance and functionality of its extensive Investment Research module, which features all Real-Time Research and Aftermarket Research in one single view on our proprietary desktop. Whether you are performing financial analysis, risk assessments or uncovering new and monitoring existing investment ideas by region, asset class, entity or industry, S&P Capital IQ enables these workflows on a faster, more productive & efficient basis than ever before.
Enhancements include:
Performance: An improvement in page upload time provides you with faster access to research throughout the Investment Research module.
Search: Enhancements to the search engine yield results that are more precise for specific keywords and phrases, allowing you to find reports you need more quickly.
Enhanced ‘Keyword-in-Context’: When searching using a keyword or phrase, you now have greater visibility into the context of your search results with a clearer display of the report preview, and a more in-depth summary.
Searchable Data Elements: An entirely new intelligent tagging system automatically enhances reports with specific report-level data elements. This allows you to quickly search for bibliographic information such as industry, asset-class and initiation of coverage.
Pin Your Favorite Research Providers: You can now customize the view on the Investment Research tab, including the ability to ‘pin’ your favorite research providers for direct access to the research you use most.
Extensive Regional Content
S&P Capital IQ is continually adding leading regional research providers to its Investment Research collections that feature broker research, credit research, and industry/sector analysis reports from 1,500+ third-party providers covering markets across the globe. This means you have deeper access to local research on a real-time or aftermarket basis. RatingsDirect Subscribers Can Now Access S&P Ratings Research on the S&P Capital IQ Platform
In the Investment Research module on our proprietary desktop, RatingsDirect subscribers can now access, view and search for S&P Ratings Research along with other third party credit rating agency research and/or any investment research from sell side brokerages on a real time permissioned basis. Plus, if a RatingsDirect subscriber also has contracted for a subscription to our aftermarket offering, they can also purchase individual research reports produced by 1,500 third-party research firms – all within the same module.
As noted above, RatingsDirect subscribers will receive all the benefits from the new & improved S&P Capital IQ search functionality, “pin your favorite feature”, customized alerting tools, as well as faster access to all research as well as links to several leading investment banks’ proprietary investment research models (if permissioned).
In addition, clients can now read and use their own specific insights, assessments and recommendations side-by-side with third-party sources.
