S&P Cap IQ Pro Chart Builder

Last October, we released a new Chart Builder on the S&P Capital IQ Pro platform, providing a flexible, intuitive charting tool for customizable analysis of company and market performance over time. You can now leverage an expanded set of S&P Global data and customizations to easily create and tailor your charts to your needs.

How do I access Chart Builder?

After you have logged into the platform, locate the Apps menu on the top navigation bar and select Chart Builder.

What data can I plot in Chart Builder?

You can now create charts for public companies, equities, funds, indices, and saved lists as custom indices. From a data perspective, you have a wide variety of data sets, including Market Data, Financials, Estimates, and Trading Multiples.

What other perks come with the new Chart Builder?

Chart Builder offers a wide variety of customization tools to help you tailor the look and feel of the series, axes, and general chart display. You can modify the currency, chart style, color palette, as well as the value format of the X and Y axes. Titles and axis/data labels can be added to the chart for presentations and reporting purposes.

You can now overlay a trend or technical indicator, like moving averages, Bollinger bands, and more. Additionally, add company key developments into the chart to identify underlying causes for price movement.
