Overview
S&P Cap IQ Pro provides comprehensive news coverage from a team of over 400 in-house news analysts. News covers all sectors and all major industry events.
You can access the news section by clicking on the news tab. From there, you will have the option to choose a specific industry or feature. For a general news overview, select “All Sector News.”

In the All Sector News section, you’ll see editor’s picks, top news, index overviews, and sector-specific sections. You also have the option to select a specific geography focus, or use a list that you’ve built on your account to filter your news page.
Article FeaturesWithin an article, there are a few important interactive features. First, you can contact the newsroom and authors directly by clicking the name of the authors at the top of an article. This allows you to provide direct feedback, ask questions, or suggest follow-up articles. Below the author names at the top, there will be options to add the article to your personal documents, create alerts, or download the article.In the top right of the article, there is a “Related Content” section. If an article has any supporting documents or sources, the news team will link the document as a source. Sometimes this will be an excel document used to make calculations for the article, or company documents like press releases and earnings releases. You can also view related articles and any companies relevant to the article you’ve selected within this section. 
Other Sections Within News
Within the news tab, you can also find pages related to recent documents, transcripts/investor presentations, events calendar, and coverage information.
Accessing these pages through the news tab (instead of through a company profile) can be useful when you want a broader view of these resources than simply looking at one company. You can use pre-built lists, or filter geography, industries, sources, etc. within these pages. The Coverage Information page provides an overview of how many filings we have processed by industry and filing type for the most recent financial period. You can then drill down by clicking on any hyperlinked item to see the specific companies in each category.
