Dashboard

Overview

The dashboard is the landing page for your S&P Cap IQ Pro account, and this can be fully customized to fit your needs through the use of “Widgets” or the small squares of information found here. You can move these widgets around as you prefer, and you can also add or remove widgets at any time. If you have various portfolios, you can have multiple dashboards as well, again creating a fully custom atmosphere.

Settings

There are two places to adjust settings: at the top of your dashboard (#1), and within each widget (#2). Using these top setting options will adjust the entire dashboard, while clicking the gear icon within a widget will adjust the information for that widget only.

When you first login to the platform, the Dashboard will be adjusted to match your selected User Profile. You can go back to this at any point by selecting “Reload Default Dashboard” (#1)

(You can adjust your User Profile by clicking on your name in the top right-hand corner of the screen and then choosing “User Profile & Display Information”) (#2)

“Enable Dark Mode” is a popular feature that many users enjoy, I recommend checking it out! (#3)

Saving and Opening Dashboards

Click “Save” (#1) if you are working on an existing Dashboard, click “Save As” (#2) if you’d like to save the new dashboard and select a name for the given dashboard.
You have two options in viewing your saved dashboards. Click “Open”(#3) from your dashboard screen, or go to “Saved Items” > “Dashboards” > “Manage Dashboards” (#4)

New Dashboards and Dashboard Pages

To open a new dashboard page, select the “+” tab (#1)
To open a new dashboard, you can either select the three dots and then choose “New,” (#2) or you can go to “Saved Items” > “Dashboards” > “Create Dashboard” (see image above)

Adding Widgets

Use the dropdown menu to easily add a new widget (#1). Just as easily as you can add the widget, you can remove it as well (#2), so it doesn’t hurt to try adding new ones.

Help Section

To open the Online Help page, click the Support “?” icon in the top right hand corner and then choose “Online Help” (#1). You can choose “Webinars” on this menu as well (#2).

New Users should go to “Getting Started” to get acquainted with the platform
