Charting

The new Chart Builder is now available in the Apps menu on the platform.

You can easily create time-series charts with your target companies, index, and/or saved lists by searching or browsing through different data sets in one go. A variety of customization and interaction tools are available to tailor your charts for your presentations or projects. You can save and download the charts into any format that suits your needs

BUILD YOUR CHART

Start building a chart by adding one or multiple target companies, indices and/or saved lists as well as adding data metrics that you’re interested in plotting.

A Quick Pick list of popular metrics displays by default to help you get started, but you can also search for a particular metric by name/ID or browse from a full metric tree of supported data sets by clicking Browse All.

The Field Selector that opens from Browse All allows you to browse across all of Chart Builder’s supported data sets. You can select multiple metrics in one go.

CHART INTERACTIONS

Use the Timeframe control above the chart to adjust your view. You can also click and drag your mouse horizontally directly in the chart to zoom into a certain timeframe..

You can click on the legend to show/hide a particular series temporarily.

CHART LEVEL CUSTOMIZATIONS

From the  sidebar, click on the Customize Chart tab to leverage all chart level and series level customization options to specific pane.

ADD KEY DEVELOPMENTS AS ANNOTATIONS

From the sidebar, click on the Annotations tab to add and manage key development annotations into the chart.

Click on to create your own annotation on the chart. Check the Save to Entity checkbox if you want to store this annotation for future charts. Please Note: These custom annotations saved to the entity will be accessible on the Chart Builder page only.
To overlay a company’s key developments and events into the chart, choose the desired Series and the type(s) of Annotation that you want to add. If you had saved any custom annotations to the Entity, you can pull them up by adding ”Custom Annotations” from the general Annotations list.
.

After adding the annotations to the chart, you can manage each key development directly in the Key Development grid in the same panel. To gain further insight, you can click on the Headline hyperlinks to read the Key Development Details.
You can also pin an annotation to the Chart from the sidebar or directly from the Annotation tooltip itself.

EXPORT YOUR CHART

From the Toolbar section in the upper right corner, you’ll find options to export the chart and all data points and save your charts for later user.

You can export the chart image, chart data, and key development annotations to an Excel worksheet. Alternatively, you can export the chart to an Image, PDF, Word or print-ready HTML format.

SHARE YOUR CHARTS WITH COLLEAGUES

From the Toolbar section in the upper right corner, you are now able to share your saved chart(s) with colleagues within your organization. You can share the chart as View Only mode or with Edit rights to allow for joint collaboration.
